WHAT IS COOKIE?
Cookie also known by names like HTTP Cookie, Web Cookie, Internet Cookie, Browser Cookie is a small piece of data which is sent from a website and stored on the user’s device (phone, computer etc) by the user’s web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc) when the user is browsing.
Cookie allows the server to deliver a page tailored to a particular user.
Cookie is a ‘Non-personal Information’ which is not personally identifiable by the user (you) but is essential for the proper functioning of most websites. Cookies are collected when you access my website and it allows to recognise every time you visit my website.
Cookies are also used to identify what items are in your shopping cart, whether you are logged in or not etc. (Here at www.writinglaw.com I have no selling/cart option or sign up/login functions.)
