Madhya Pradesh Judicial Services Exam Question Papers
Almost every year, the state of Madhya Pradesh releases advertisement for the post of civil judge junior division that is MP PCS(J). The recruitment for MP judicial services exam may vary every year depending upon the number of vacancies.
It is the high court of Madhya Pradesh that conducts the exam in three stages. These are preliminary which is the objective paper, mains which is the subjective or descriptive paper, and interview or viva.
Madhya Pradesh Judicial Service Preliminary Exam Pattern
The preliminary exam of the Madhya Pradesh judicial service exam is a screening test to filter students for the mains exam, which is the real test.
The exam is for 2 hours. It is conducted in online mode containing 150 questions each carrying one mark. There is no negative marking. The marks of preliminary are not added in the final results. Preliminary is a mere qualifying test.
The students who qualify preliminary exam appear for the Mains exam, which is subjective. It consists of 4 papers for which time duration is 3 hours for each paper.
MP Judicial Services Mains Exam Question Paper
First paper is of civil laws (100 marks)
Second paper is of writing and translation (100marks)
Third paper is of criminal laws (100marks)
Fourth paper is judgment writing (100marks)
Madhya Pradesh Judicial Service Exam Interview
The candidate who qualifies the mains exam goes for an interview or viva voce. The interview shall be for 50 marks. The sole motive of the viva is to test the personality and confidence of a candidate to become a judge. Your knowledge and legal acumen have already been examined in the mains exam. So don’t be nervous in the interview.
Qualification Required for the MP PCS (J) Exam
(1) The candidate must be of or above the age of 21 years but less than 35 years of age.
(2) Must be a citizen of India with good moral character.
(3) Candidate must possess an LL.B. degree from an institute recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Maximum 6 attempts can be made for Madhya Pradesh Judicial Services Exam. So make it within this time frame.
